Brief history about hydrangeas
Hydrangeas bloom around the end of spring, and the beginning of summer. They are deciduous shrubs and are believed to have originated from Japan. Hydrangeas are flowers that can be used to express remorse. According to legends, a Japanese Emperor, gave these flowers to his love to apologize for the lack of love and concern from him as he was all consumed in state affairs. However, hydrangeas are not just about remorse as we have known clients who buy these hydrangea bouquets for their first dates.
Colorful Hydrangea Bouquets
Our Hydrangea bouquets easily capture the focus and attention of our clients and their recipients due to the large flower heads that are typical of this type of flower. In our opinion, the different type of hydrangeas can produce different results. The white hydrangea gives off a classy elegant feel, the blue hydrangea lets on a more rustic feel and the light pink hydrangea giving a pastel vibe to the entire bouquet.
Many of our customers have expressed their satisfaction at having such a beautiful hydrangea bouquet. This is because hydrangeas are not home grown in Singapore. Imported from places like China and Kenya, they are not flowers that we see everyday. Hence there is an awe factor whenever these flowers are used in bouquets. There is one small niche of clients who really love hydrangeas because they have been to other countries to either work or study. These clients have missed the hydrangeas that are so common in those countries (i.e. Australia, Europe). Hence, seeing a nice hydrangea helps them to relive some of the wonderful memories that they have in those countriesWe especially love the Kenyan Hydrangeas for the remarkable size of the flower head as well as the general quality of this type of hydrangea. They tend to last much longer which is what we want as it will help to increase the length of time that our customers can enjoy the bouquet. .
Caring for Hydrangeas
Once you get your Hydrangeas, you will need to care for them! This is because hydrangeas are very thirsty flowers. This means that they have a large water intake. If you do not remove the wrapping from the bouquet and place it in a vase of water, what happens is that the hydrangea will finish up any amount of water that your florist has placed in the bouquet. This will mean that the bouquet will die really quickly, which as we mentioned earlier, is not a great thing for you. We will recommend you check out this post on flower care.
